Time really does fly when you have a kiddo! Side note: I just upset Miles (who is now on the floor screaming) because I wouldn’t let him continue to sit on my lap while licking and gumming the edge of the desk. Drool was dripping off the side.

Life in Dreher-land has been busy. In the past month I’ve been in Dallas twice to help out when my grandmother was in the hospital for acute pancreatitis and just to visit family. It was great seeing my cousin, Leslie, who just got back from a trip to Germany and currently resides in CA. Eric has been hard at work on our shed out at the land. The AC is installed and we finally have a place to lock up our tools. Hopefully we’ll be heading out there this weekend to pick out a place for the house.

Miles is growing up so quickly. At his 4 month checkup a few weeks ago he weighed 14 lbs and 9oz. The Dr. said he was in the 50th percentile for height, weight and head circumference. We are also in the middle of teething. His dr. said he should have his front, bottom teeth in a month – which is a little early. He loves to chew on fingers and has really expanded his vocal range to include high pitched squeals. He definitely has better control over his body and can lean or turn himself in almost any direction. We finally have naptime and bedtime under complete control!! We try and put him to bed at night by 7pm and he sleeps straight through to 8am. IT’S WONDERFUL. He also takes 3 naps a day ranging from 45 minutes to 2 hours. It’s nice to be able to lay him down wide awake and have him just put himself to sleep (his favorite method is by sucking on two fingers while throwing his opposite arm over his hand to hold it in his mouth).

Off to heat up some dinner before the man of the house gets home! Love to all
