Last Thursday I was hanging out with my friend Kristinna and her 2 year old son. She offered us a teething cracker for Miles to gum on. He couldn’t get enough of it. We had teething cracker goo all down the front of him and me. I was a little surprised at how into it he was because he has shown ZERO interest in food up until that point. Last Saturday I bought our own box of teething crackers so Eric could watch him eat one. Again…he loved it.

Miles and I had a wonderful day today and spent time with our good friends Vada and Elaine. Unfortunately Vada had to go back to work so Elaine and I hit 2 baby stores and had a great time shopping.

Tonight (9/25) I was standing in the kitchen eating a ham and cheese sandwich and holding Miles. He started lunging towards my sandwich with his mouth open. At first I thought that surely it was a fluke but he kept doing it! I went ahead and let him make contact with the bread so he could munch on it a bit. Eric whipped up a quick batch of rice cereal and we fed it to him. He opened his mouth for the spoon without any coaxing at all! We only fed him a few bites because he was already up past his bedtime and was continually putting 2 fingers in his mouth to suck on. I think our little boy is ready for food!!
