Michael and I headed up to Dallas to visit the great-grandparents and to catch up with family. We headed to Mema’s (Miles’ great-grandmother) on Thursday night for pizza. It was awesome being able to see our cousin, Morgan, who took a trip down from Denton to see us. My Uncle Jay and Aunt Stephanie even came by for a quick visit. Aunt Stephanie is expecting a baby boy in December. I’m going to have a new cousin that’s 2 months older than baby #2 We are so excited for them.

Miles had a great time turning off Mema’s oxygen and playing with his Uncle Michael. After pizza and a late night we headed back to cousin Cameron’s house for a quick visit and some sleep. Miles continued to wow us with his cuteness when he was chasing Cameron’s cat, Piper, around. When Piper managed to disappear on him, Miles looked up at Cameron and Michael, cocked his head, and said “Meow???”. I’m sure they helped him find the kitty after that.

Then we drove to my mom’s parents, Gama and Bapa’s house. After a very yummy breakfast we relaxed, let Miles play on Gama’s bed like Michael and I used to do, and looked at pictures from Michael’s travels. Miles enjoyed playing with his toys that Gama made him. Once the fussies set in we made the long drive back to Austin. Michael tried to kill us several times because he had a hard time watching the road…he spent most of his time playing with Miles and making faces at him in the rear-view mirror.
